Senaro Motor Company (Pvt) Ltd celebrating 22 years of success and innovation in the Sri Lankan automotive industry launched Senaro Click 150 scooter which’s expected to become a strong competitor in the growing scooter market.
The company also inaugurated its flagship Senaro Experience Lounge in Colombo along with this launch.
The dual event, held recently, at Senaro’s headquarters in Union Place, Colombo, was attended by prominent figures, including Kavinda De Zoysa, Chairman of the Bank of Ceylon.
Senaro’s assembly operations began with the Senaro GN 125, a model that has quickly gained popularity and become a top-seller in the market. As a 100% Sri Lankan brand, the Senaro GN 125 has successfully competed with multinational brands, marking a notable achievement in the local automotive industry.
A significant milestone in the company’s journey was the acquisition of a manufacturing and assembly license from the Sri Lankan government. Operating under the Ministry of Industries’ Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), this achievement underscores Senaro’s commitment to local manufacturing and its contribution to strengthening the Sri Lankan economy.
Senaro’s commitment to local value addition, currently at a minimum of 30% for motorcycle and scooter assembly, aligns with the Ministry of Industries’ SOP. This initiative has also created numerous direct and indirect employment opportunities, contributing to the growth of the Sri Lankan workforce.
Looking ahead, Senaro’s future plans include expanding into international markets, showcasing Sri Lankan engineering expertise on the global stage and continuing to drive innovation within the automotive industry.
