Chamika Karunaratne left out due to poor form, not discipline - SLC cricket

Sri Lanka cricketer Chamika Karunaratne has been omitted from the Afghanistan ODI series due to non-performance, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Secretary Mohan de Silva said today (17). 
In an inquiry made by Hiru News, the secretary of the Sri Lanka Cricket Mohan de Silva said that the cricketer has not been left out due to a disciplinary issue.
Although his form in the T20I World Cup was down, Chamika Karunarathne won two man-of-the-match performances when Sri Lanka last played an ODI series against Australia in June.

The Afghanistan National Team will arrive in Sri Lanka later this month to play an ODI series, under the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League 2023.

The Afghanistan National Team will arrive in Sri Lanka on Tuesday, 22nd November 2022.

The probable Sri Lankan squad for the Afghanistan ODI series is as follows:

Dasun Shanaka (Capt), Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis, Charith Asalanka, Dhananjaya de Silva, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dinesh Chandimal, Ashen Bandara, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dunith Wellalage, Maheesh Theekshana, Dananjaya Lakshan, Kasun Rajitha, Lahiru Kumara, Pramod Madushan and Asitha Fernando.
