Wildlife Officers calls off island wide token strike

The All Ceylon Joint Wildlife Officers’ Association has brought to an end the token strike launched island wide.

When contacted by NewsRadio Chairman of the Association Prabash Karunathilake said the strike was called off after assurances by the subject Minister to hold discussions pertaining to protecting a forest reserve in Polonnaruwa.

Karunathilake said they expect the Subject Minister to take necessary steps to address their concerns.

He said all wildlife offices will open at 8am today as per usual.
