Ruwan Wijewardene elected UNP Dy. Leader

Ruwan Wijewardene has been elected as the new Deputy Leader of the United National Party at the Working Committee convened at 3.00pm today under the patronage of party leader - Ranil Wickremesinghe.

A secret ballot was held at today’s Working Committee meeting between Ruwan Wijewardene and Ravi Karunanayake.

The party representative to be named to the National List seat obtained at the General Election was also discussed today.
