Certain people use ‘national security’ for their survival – Army Commander

Certain groups are using the term ‘national security’ for their survival, says the Army Commander Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake.

He stated this addressing the media last morning (28) following a
visit to the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy.

There are no complications concerning the national security as some individuals claim, Army Commander pointed out.

Various incidents are reported not only in the North, but in the South as well and all of these incidents can be curbed, he added.

Army Commander Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake further stated that army camps in the Northern Province will not be removed under any circumstances.
