A senior official for the FCID said they would be unable to take further step until the Dept. advises action against the accused.
There have been disputes over match-fixing among seniors like
Arjuna Ranatunga and Kumar Sangakkara.
The FCID investigations have reached a decisive juncture, with several persons to be questioned, the official said.
Among them is a key member of the 1996 world cup winning team.
Furthermore, information will be obtained from Arjuna Ranatunga, Kumar Sangakkara, Aravinda de Silva and other seniors.
Attention has also been drawn to two leading businessmen involved in cricket betting too.
When contacted, an official for Sri Lanka Cricket said they could not give any precise details in this regard.
