Three Rajapaksa cronies to FCID this week!

Two MPs of the joint opposition and former MP Sajin Vaas Gunawardena have been summoned to appear before the FCID this week for questioning in connection with instances of major fraud and corruption that had taken place during the Mahinda Rajapaksa regime.

Gunawardena, former CEO of Mihin Lanka, should be at the FCID
at 9.30 am today (28).

He will be questioned over a car bearing no. KE 8347 in a Rs. 33,656,226 loss caused by selling two buses owned by the airline to a third party through the LOLC.

A court case is yet to be filed about this matter.

MP Bulathwalage Prasanna Ranaweera should report to the FCID at 9.30 am tomorrow in connection with an account maintained at Pan Asia Bank.

The Kiribathgoda magistrate’s court is hearing a case (M/U B 516/16) in this connection.

Assets and liabilities

Meanwhile, MP S.M. Chandrasena has to be at the FCID on August 31 to be questioned over his assets and liabilities, over which a case (M/U B 707/16) is pending before the Anuradhapura magistrate’s court.
