7 SL actors win big at Hanoi International Film Fest

Seven Sri Lankan actors were awarded for their performance at the Hanoi International Film Festival, for their performance in Aruna Jayawardene’s film ‘Maariya’.

Veteran actor Darshan Dharmaraj, who passed away recently, was among the actors who received the award.

The other actors who won the award are : Hemal Ranasinghe, Mahendra Perera, Dasun Pathirana, Priyanthasiri Kumar, Ashan Dias and Suran Dasanayake.

123 films from 50 countries were submitted to the Hanoi International Film Awards held in Vietnam for the sixth time this year.
