3 vacant ministerial posts at SLPP government

If the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) wins the general election, there is a plan to vacate three ministerial posts in the new cabinet, party internal sources say.
It is said that in the future it will be given to the opposition political groups who join hands with the government.


However, it is said that the cabinet will be appointed in accordance with the provisions of the constitution.

Furthermore, it is reported that there is a plan to strengthen the portfolios of state ministers by assigning them with subject tasks.

It is also said that several new ministries will be created by merging the cabinet subjects that are related to the same subject but have been scattered in several ministries.

According to internal government sources, the President is to present a separate plan to give priority to regional development, development of the agricultural sector, water supply and development of export agriculture.
