Female officers at Geneva embassy rent their quarters

Three chief female officers in Sri Lanka’s embassy in Geneva have rented their official quarters on a daily basis, according to ‘Aruna’.The Foreign Affairs Ministry pays 3,500 Swiss Francs (Rs. 525,000) for one luxury house with three bedrooms and pantry and 2,500 Swiss Francs (Rs. 375,000) each for the two other houses.

These female officials are single and three separate houses are
rented for them, although one house can accommodate them all, says the Global Patriotic Sri Lankan Forum.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan embassy in Geneva is planned to be renovated at a cost of Rs. 13.5 million.

It was renovated just four years ago at a cost of Rs. 14 m, says Dushanthi Hapugoda, the Sri Lankan representative of the Forum.
