Media footage show police use their mobile phones to record the protestors in front of Koralepattu divisional secretariat.
People from Moravodai, Vakaneri, Alankulam, Kuhanesapuram,
Poonani, Savukkali, Thalavai, Ariyampathi and Unnichai staged the agitation against the forced acquisition and occupation of their land, including Shakthi Maha Vidyalaya at Moravodai.
They criticized and carried placards against the government and the Tamil leaders who betray their community and go after privileges.
The protestors handed over a petition to divisional secretary V. Vasudevan.
