Sri Lanka Tourism is all set to showcase the Uniqueness of the destination, Cultural Diversity and its warm Hospitality all across the globe with a series of Nordic roadshows, scheduled to start from 8th to 11th of September 2025. It has been planned to hold these roadshows across Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden), together with a Consumer Promotion Event in Stockholm, on September 2025.
The Sri Lankan delegation will consist of all leading Industry stakeholders, Holiday and travel partners, at least 20–25 Sri Lankan DMCs/hotels and officials from Sri Lanka Tourism, whereas they will be organizing B2B roadshows to connect and strengthen business partnerships with their international counterparts. These will proceed further with evening networking workshops, destination presentations, one-on-one meetings, and cultural highlights.
The Stockholm Consumer Promotion (B2C Event) will showcase Open-air cultural shows, fashion and dance performances, giving the visitors a taste of Authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, handicrafts, tea, and spices. These are the main products which will draw any visitors interest to bookings and explore the destination further. The main purpose of holding the B2C event is to Strengthen the destination image through authentic cultural immersion and Restore consumer confidence post-crisis.
This will indeed be an important opportunity for Sri Lanka Tourism, as it is has already crossed a significant mark of 1.5 mn Tourist arrivals, and has bagged several international endorsements up to now as one of the world’s leading travel destinations worth visiting and has all the travel and holiday opportunities which ate able to fulfill the requirements of the modern traveler. Sri Lanka Tourism has also planned to Introduce New Sri Lankan tourism products including wellness, adventure, culture, community-based tourism. This will be a further asset to Sri Lanka as there are global travelers who look for fresh ideas related to travel and tourism, and these products will certainly create an interest in travelers looking for new experiences on their holiday plans.
Sri Lanka is already becoming a travel and holiday favorite among many travelers and holidaymakers, plus with international endorsements, increasing number of tourist arrivals, this will add another feather to Sri Lankas cap, highlighting it as a destination to visit at least once in a lifetime. The destination reached a milestone with 1.5mn tourist arrivals as of 18th August 2025.
