Sri Lanka and France discuss possible energy sector investments and partnerships

Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekara has held talks with the Ambassador of France in Sri Lanka Jean-François Pactet, regarding the potential energy sector investments and partnerships.

Taking to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Wijesekara expressed that the government’s policy on renewable energy, nuclear energy integration plans, smart grid development and energy efficiency plans were shared with the French envoy during the meeting.

    

Meanwhile, a proposal by Electricite de France SA (EDF) on nuclear energy and possible future partnerships between Sri Lanka and France has also been taken up for discussion during the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Power and Energy on Monday (Jan. 08).
