SLC appoints 16-member squad or first Test against Pakistan

A 16-member squad has been selected for the upcoming Test match against Pakistan due to be played on Sunday (16 July).

Accordingly, the squad was appointed for the first Test by the Selectors of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), with the approval of the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Roshan Ranasinghe.
                

Issuing a statement in this regard, however, SLC noted that while Asitha Fernando was selected for the team, he will not be playing as he is suffering from dengue, and will thereby be replaced with Dilshan Madushanka.
