No decision to sell off SLT!

Minister of Justice – Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe says that no decision has been taken to sell off Sri Lanka Telecom and no discussion was held in this regard.

He said this during today’s (22) Cabinet briefing. The minister said that only proposals have been received to restructure loss-incurring SOEs.

Speaking at a media briefing yesterday, Trade Unions of SLT accused the government of attempting to sell off the profitable SLT to foreign investors.
