Minister of Water Supply Vasudeva Nanayakkara has tested positive for Covid-19.
He is the third MP to be tested positive in the last few days.
State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday while Parliamentarian Rauff Hakeem yesterday confirmed that he had contracted the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, the coordinating secretary of the PM - Kumarasiri Hettige was also tested positive. It is said that several staff members of the Leader of the House have also been identified as close contacts.
A total of 21 parliamentarians have been identified as contacts of MP Rauf Hakeem and Mr. Hettige, reports say.
