President disapproves of using his image in public

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has requested the public not to display photographs or portraits of him in public places, it is reported.

A statement by the PMD points out that it has been observed that the portraits and photographs of the President are being exhibited on roadsides and at events without proper supervision.

While expressing his gratitude to those who have taken the trouble to make portraits of him President Rajapaksa requests the public to refrain from doing so as he does not appreciate the promotion of personal image, the President’s Media Division (PMD) stated.
