Four security vehicles to be hired for Sri Lankan team’s protection

The Cricket Executive Committee has received a request to obtain four security vehicles on rental basis for the security of the Sri Lankan cricket team.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Cricket Executive Committee had made this proposal based on a request made by the Chief Security Advisor to SLC Air Marshal Roshan Gunatillake.

Accordingly, these four security vehicles is expected to be obtained in order tp provide greater security to the players in the future.

The Cricket Executive Committee has taken a decision to initiate the process for the obtaining of these four security vehicles.

Further, SLC  has received approval for the calling of tenders for the supply of the four security vehicles.

However, due to the continued dismal performance of the Sri Lankan cricket team and their sliding further down in cricket ratings, currently, it is hard to find sponsors for the tournaments they are participating in, it is reported.
