He commenced his fast demanding the removal of Minister Rishad Bathiudeen, Western Province Governor Azath Sally and Eastern Province Governor M.A.L.M. Hizbullah.
Speaking to the media yesterday, Rathana Thera said that he would continue his fast until his demands were met.
SLFP – MPs meet the President
Meanwhile, a group of SLFP-MPs are scheduled to meet with the President to discuss about Sally, Hizbullah and Bathiudeen, it is reported.
MP- S.B. Dissanayake noted that it is the responsibility of the President to pay attention to the demands made by Rathana Thera.
He said this when he visited the Ven. Rathana Thera last night to inquire about his wellbeing.
