Property suicide bombers and supporters to be confiscated

The Criminal Investigations Department has identified assets of a large number of persons involved in bombing of Catholic religious sites, hotels and other places and measures have been taken to confiscate them.

Accordingly, the property belonging to nine suicide cadres and the suspects arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department will be confiscated.


In addition to identify the other relatives of suicide bombers, The Criminal Investigations Department is conducting two separate investigations.

Police spokesman Superintendent of Police Ruwan Gunasekara said that steps have been taken to ban all such assets under the terrorism prevention act and money laundering act.
