"All governments should take responsibility for attacks” – Sarath Fonseka

Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka blamed all successive government that ruled over the past ten years for the current situation in the country, adding that such attacks could not have been planned by these terrorists in a day or two.

Joining the debate on the state of emergency he said if the country is to prosper, suitable people should be appointed to the suitable positions.
He said everyone is behaving silly even after such an incident.

The whole lot should resign

He said after such a tragedy, those in the Security Council should all resign. Sarath Fonseka noted that even though there is a State Defence Minister he had not received approval to attend the Security Council meeting.

I have no security

Sarath Fonseka said that he currently has no proper security provided to him, adding that the STF personnel assigned for his security had also been removed.

He also noted that although he is the highest ranking military official in the country he has been assigned a rickety old jeep for his security.
