He said the new website was launched under the instruction of IGP Pujith Jayasundara.
“About 800 to 1000 complaints about lost or stolen mobile phones
are reported daily. If anyone had lost or had their phones stolen they can instantly complain through the new website. The complaint will be forwarded to the police stations, Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) and respective mobile companies," he said.
More than 24 million mobile phones were used in the country.(Darshana Sanjeewa)
