Although he had to be on time in parliament having to respond to three questions, he was delayed due to being stuck for over an hour
in a traffic block at Rajagiriya, he said.
He had then got off his vehicle and stopped a motorcycle and come to parliament, the minister added.
“I had to respond to three questions in parliament. But I was unable to make it on time due to the traffic block. Hence, I had to stop a motorcycle and get to parliament eventually in the pouring rain. I request that attention be paid to such traffic congestions on parliament sitting days,” he said.
However, Sri Lanka Mirror learns that the minister had got off his vehicle in the pouring rain and hopped onto a motorcycle without even a helmet. The people are perturbed over the minister’s ignorance about the laws of the country, being a lawyer, and urge the police to focus their attention on this matter.
