The move comes on the heels of the price of wheat flour being raised by Rs. 5.
Yesterday, Association Chairperson N. K. Jayawardana said that
they would wait until they received confirmation that the price of wheat flour had been increased before increasing the price of a loaf of bread.
The decision to increase the price of a loaf of bread by Rs. 5 was made upon receiving confirmation that wheat flour had increased.
