President Maithripala Sirisena said yesterday even though the oil price formula was introduced to provide the benefit of fuel price reduction in the international market to the people, the local fuel prices were increasing since the introduction of this formula.
“A decision whether to change this will be taken based on
upcoming Budget proposals,” he told the Heads of Media Institutions at the President’s House.
