SIU to probe STF Chief Lathif: Dy. Min.

The State Intelligence Unit is to be asked to probe the allegations made by Wildlife and Regional Development Minister Sarath Fonseka against some police officers including STF Chief DIG Lathif, Deputy Minister of Law and Order, Nalin Bandara
Jayamaha informed Parliament yesterday.

“We have decided to ask the State Intelligence Unit to carry out this task so that it would be possible to determine who is right and who was wrong,” he said.

The deputy minister said he spoken to Minister Fonseka regarding his complaints. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)
