Speaking in parliament today, group leader of Joint Opposition,
Dinesh Gunawardena requested the Speaker to allot a time today to debate the prevailing political situation in the country.
Subsequently, the Speaker adjourned the session for 15 minutes to convene a party leaders' meeting.
