It is reported that the suspect is a former soldier and is currently
employed as a driver for Minister Sajith Premadasa.
One of the weapons found is in the form of a pen while another weapon is an Italian made one.
The suspect arrested with the weapons has been identified as Madapatha Kankanamge Don Sumudu Priyadharshana a resident of Np. 320/02, Pitipana North, Homagama.
Police investigations have revealed that this suspect had maintained close ties with underworld leader Lassie.
