The couple are facing charges of having obtained Rs. 64 million from a businessman promising to remove a group of persons
occupying a land in Meetotamulla and make it available to him.
The witnesses of this case were also issued summons to appear in Court on that date.
Taking into consideration an application made by the couple to travel overseas to attend their daughter’s graduation in Australia, the Court granted them permission to travel overseas from December 10 to 22.
