As there was a move by the CID to take him into custody in relation to the Wasim Thadjudeen murder, the former Colombo JMO
Ananda Samarasekara had submitted a anticipatory bail application at the Colombo Additional Magistrates Court on October 17.
Filing a bail application he told court that the CID is preparing to arrest him citing malicious details under the Public Property Act, Tissue Transplantation Act and in accordance with paragraph 198 of the Penal Code, and sought courts consideration in releasing him on suitable bail taking into consideration his ill health and treatment he is receiving.
