When the case filed against him by the Briber Commission was called today (21), Colombo Additional magistrate Buddhika K.
Ragala ordered that he be released on bail of Rs. 75,000 and Rs. One million personal bail.
Charges were filed against Priyankara Jayaratne for convincing the Aviation Services Board of Directors to approve creating a post of Aviation Services Development Officer and appointing his Private Secretary to this post.
The said Private Secretary was also present in Court today, while he too was ordered to be released on bail of Rs. 75,000 and Rs. One million personal bail.
The case is scheduled to be taken up again on September 25.
