Sagala hints at resigning as Law and Order Minister

Minister Sagala Ratnayake today said he had informed his party’s Parliamentary Group that he was not hoping to continue as the Minister of Law and Order.

In a Facebook post, Minister Ratnayake said he would not hesitate to give up the Ministerial portfolio for the sake of United National
Party (UNP) and added that he would perform his best for the wellbeing of the party.

“I have informed it to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe this morning,” he said.

He said he had arrived at the decision in order to strengthen the party at this moment of crisis adding that it was a personal decision.
