Police spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that the police
launched an investigation into a complaint that a student was utilizing a mobile phone to cheat at the O/Level mathematics paper held yesterday (18).
It was reported that a student from an examination centre in Anuradhapura was using the Viber messaging application to obtain answers for the paper that was held on Monday.
Following the incident the police stated that the incident will be probed under the supervision of the Ministry of Education.
