Labrooy will accompany the young Sri Lanka team that will leave
for New Zealand on January 01 to take part in the under-19 World Cup.
Meanwhile, selectors are said to be unfamiliar with the members of the young team and do not know some of them at least by their names.
The chief selector is no exception, and there is talk as to what purpose his trip to New Zealand will serve.
