Two Rs. 50 million busses idling at Foreign Ministry car park!

Two busses purchased on lease during the Rajapaksa regime for use during the Commonwealth Heads of State Conference, is idling at the Foreign Ministry car park without being used, it is reported.  These busses had cost Rs. 55 million.

This was revealed when the Foreign Ministry Audit report for 2015
was presented to parliament by the Auditor General Gamini Wijesinghe.

These busses had been purchased on November 01, 2013, on 60 monthly installments with lease payment of Rs. 916,552 per month.

The report further revealed that these busses had not been used thereafter and in 2015 Rs. 6,047,000 had been paid as lease payments while Rs. 5,045,000 had been paid as interest.
