At the first meeting to discuss the nominations, the JHU submitted
156 of its possible candidates.
Of them, 73 were accepted, while 43 others were to be included in the list of non-contesting appointees.
As a result, the JHU is without any candidates contesting for Colombo North, Colombo Central, Kaduwela and Kolonnawa electorates as well as in the LG bodies in Kurunegala and Kegalle districts.
